About RDNS Direct

RDNS established RDNS Direct - a 24 hour, 7 day specialist Health Contact Centre - in 1999.  

Initially a service for our RDNS clients, their doctors and hospital staff referring people to RDNS, RDNS Direct is now one of the largest health contact centres in the Asia Pacific Region.

RDNS Direct offers a wide range of health related telephony services, linking hospitals, general practitioners, aged care facilities and health care agencies.  

We also offer health information and advisory services to health insurers’ members.  RDNS Direct staff provide a single entry point for all callers, with access to extensive data bases of health and community services information - locally, nationally and internationally.

RDNS Direct staff perform a number of functions, including general nursing care advice, telephone triage, coordination of administrative functions within the healthcare industry and linking various health support bodies for optimal patient care.
 
RDNS Direct:

  • Supports 500 RDNS nursing and support staff
  • Handles over 500,000 in and outbound calls a year
  • Provides specialist health related services including nursing triage advice based on over 150 clinical protocols prompting nurses to ask questions, which quickly assess the severity of a problem and help the caller to make an informed health care decision.
  • Provides printed information and resources that are sent via email, fax or mail.
