Services to people who are homeless

Specialist Nursing Services

RDNS provides services to people that are homeless through (2) Nursing Clinics situated at Byron Place (United Care Wesley Adelaide), the Hutt Street Centre (Daughters of Charity) and a weekly clinic at Catherine House.

No Pulgi is an outreach primary health care service partnership between Nunkuwarrin Yunti, the Aboriginal Sobriety Group and RDNS for people who are homeless in the Adelaide CBD. Aboriginal people represent around 25% of the clients of the program.

The aim of the program is to improve the health of the homeless population, particularly around chronic disease management and reducing the incidence of preventable disease and injury. Services are provided through the RDNS Homeless Nursing Clinics and also from Nunkuwarrin Yunti, the Aboriginal Sobriety Group and the Salvation Army Sobering Up Unit.
