Project Summary
This project commenced in March 2002 and aims to:
- Reveal the clients' perspective of living in the community with a permanent indwelling urinary catheter
- Raise awareness of the experiences of catheterised men and women
- Inform evidence based community nursing practice
Twenty clients who have a permanent catheter have been recruited, interviewed and their data analysed. A report is being generated.
One of the outcomes of this research will be the development of an information sheet for clients who have a permanent indwelling urinary catheter.
Another outcome is that papers will be written for publication.
