They're a familiar sight in the office kitchen - RDNS snack boxes, full of enticing lollies and chips, perfect with coffee or to share with colleagues. The best thing is, you can give in to your temptation because it's all for a good cause!
Retail Foods, one of the largest sources of fundraising for the RDNS Foundation, works on an honesty system where people put their payment in the box when they select a snack. These boxes are located at nearly 5,000 businesses and organisations around metropolitan Adelaide, the Riverland, the Barossa Valley and other areas.
"We're at the cutting edge of the lolly world," says the Retail Foods Manager. "All of our products are top quality, popular brands and where possible, sourced locally."
The snacks aren't necessarily unhealthy - snack boxes also have a range of health bars, savories and nuts.
Last year Retail Foods earned nearly $1.5 million and, with your help, we can push this figure even higher! Snack boxes are a great idea for businesses because, not only can they have snacks 'on tap'; they are also helping RDNS at the same time. All the money raised from the boxes goes directly into the programs that assist the Nursing Service in its vital work in the community.
