Administration - FAQ's
Q. What type of positions are available at RDNS?
A. There are a variety of administrative positions throughout the organisation.
These include supporting the nursing staff in the divisions with administration
tasks, and specialist positions in the corporate departments (Finance, Human
Resources, Information Technology etc).
The Contact Centre is an area of growth which employs Operators to work closely
with our nurses both in the centre and on the road.
Q. Where are you located?
A. We have a number of locations around the Adelaide metropolitan area, with the
main offices being located at Glenside (the Corporate Business Centre), Clarence
Gardens (Southern Divisional Office), Beverley (Northern Divisional Office) and
Mile End South (Focus Healthcare & Education).
Q: What are the hours of work?
A. They vary depending on each position. Our core hours are Monday to
Friday 9am to 5pm but some positions (particularly in the divisional offices)
may work from 7.30am to 3.30pm, 8.00am to 4.00pm etc. (basically anywhere
between 7am and 6pm).
Administration staff in our contact centre work on a rotational roster with
various start and finish times.
Q. Are you a government organisation?
A. No, we are a non-profit, private organisation, but we do receive
funding from the government and our administration pay structure is currently
based on that of the public sector.
Q: What is the pay structure?
A. The majority of our administrative positions are classified under the
Administrative Services Officer (ASO) pay structure, which is based on the
public sector. There are a range of classifications and levels with the majority
of administrative staff falling under the classifications of ASO2 and ASO3 with
annual full-time salaries ranging from mid/high $30,000 pa to high $40,000 pa.
Our employment conditions are covered by a collectively negotiated
Administration Enterprise Agreement which is underpinned by the Clerks (SA)
Award.
Q: What experience and skills do I need to be selected?
A. The required skills and experience obviously vary from position to
position. Each position has a position specification which includes a list of
the Key Selection Criteria required for that position. However, strong computer
skills, particularly in Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and great interpersonal
skills are always well regarded.
